Emerging Artist Award Winner 2008

Seán Conway is a young Peterborough-based musician who claims Final Fantasy, Jonas Bonnetta and Tom Waits as some of his biggest influences. Sean utilizes a BOSS RC-2 Loop Station to capture and create his unique sonic orchestra. His music carries itself with grace and rage along intricate loops and beats hammered out of a semi-hollow electric guitar.

As well as playing the Peterborough Folk Festival, Sean Conway has played The Stone House Music Festival and The Ode’min Giizis Music Festival, opening for Tanya Tagaq. He has also played events with recognized groups such as; The Burning Hell, Ohbijou and The Arbitrarys.
