Kelly McMichael – 2007

Emerging Artist Award Winner 2007 (with David Simard)

Kelly McMichael has an immense love for pianos, cats and dancing. She dibble-dabbles here and there, trying out jazz, pop, rock, folk and even techno, on occasion. Her quirky small-town cushions of Peterborough and Guelph have left her with a unique but still developing musical base to work with. She finally bought a computer, and hopes to put together some new recordings that might go on some sort of EP in the next year. Currently Kelly plays with Genltman Reg, and will be busy touring as keys and back-up vocals for his new Album “Jet Black”, on Arts and Crafts. Kelly also plays with Jessica Tollefsen of Guelph’s “Green Go”, in an Electro-Pop duo called Rouge, hoping to start a revolution of dancing, girl power, and spandex. Rouge is working on a new album to be released spring 2010.
