Drea and The Four Letter Words is comprised of Drea Nasager on lead vocals, guitar and piano. Julia Fenn on vocals, ukulele and tambourine, Josh Fewings on percussion, and Nick Ferrio on lap steel. Together, Drea’s songs tell the story of love, travel, loss, and deliver a whole lot of heart. Musically their sound melds folk, honky-tonk, rock, and pop. Drea’s arrangements push the sleepy standard of what audiences expect from a female singer songwriter. Her music and vocal prowess have drawn comparisons to greats like Odetta, Natalie Merchant and Loretta Lynn. She blends raw vocal power, with articulation and subtlety; catchy melodies and lyrics with grit, rasp and sweet falsettos. Strong rhythm acoustic guitar leads this band of self-proclaimed underdogs, a simple band, and effortless songs that appeal to all audiences from bars in Chicken Alaska to family friendly folk festivals.
Drea has independently established herself successfully as a solo artist with a career thus far that has captivated audiences from Belgium to Dawson City Yukon. Now, Drea and The Four Letter Words are developing a presence and sound a long time in the making for fans at home and abroad.
