Peterborough Folk Festival

The Peterborough Folk Festival is proud to present a terrific Children’s Activity Village beneath the trees – activities include face painting, workshops, unique arts and crafts, a parade and much more! The Children’s Village is an all-ages activity space where children, youth and the young at heart can create, learn, listen and participate in a variety of activities.  Everyone welcome!

We’d love a few extra hands in this year’s Village!  If you have some time to volunteer on Saturday or Sunday – face-painting or supporting our craft activities – please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Elizabeth Thipphawong at pffvolunteers@gmail.com.

11am  Kids’ and Family Drum Circle, facilitated by Anna Simone Tennent Riddell from the Resolutionaries.  Some extra drums will be available (thanks Christian Harvey!) but bring your own percussion if you can! Let’s make some noise to open up the Festival!

Sheesham & Lotus & ‘Son gather everyone with a few tunes and lead the parade down the hill to open up the Festival Stage!  Wear your newly redesigned shirts, shake your new instruments, or just hop, twirl or march along!

Sunday, 12-5pm @ Millennium Park

Our Children’s Village playspace continues, with 3 craft centres ongoing throughout the afternoon.

All our workshops on Sunday are family- and kid-friendly – ukulele! African dance! Soapstone Carving!
